I’m heading out this week for a very exciting trip. Truth be told I’m a little nervous. I’ve done a lot of traveling but this is an adventure a little outside of my comfort zone. But the trip is about photography so these are the things I’m doing right now to prepare to make great photographs on my trip.

For years I have been pursuing a little photography game when I travel – counting as I travel. I started, years ago, with a photograph of the number “1” and I’m currently looking for #56.
I count when I travel, but there are so many variations of this idea. It doesn’t matter what personal project you choose – it’s your theme after all.
